The following are some ways to determine whether there are safety risks in lithium batteries:
1. Appearance check: Observe whether the appearance of the lithium battery is deformed, bulging, damaged, and leaking. If so, there is probably a security risk.
2. Abnormal temperature: In the process of use or charging, touch the battery with your hand, if the temperature is too high, it is obviously hot, which may be a signal of a problem inside the battery.
3. Abnormal charging: the charging time is significantly shortened or extended, or the charger or battery is abnormally hot when charging.
4. Abnormal discharge: the battery discharge speed is too fast or too slow, or the power suddenly drops sharply in normal use.
5. Odor emission: If you smell the battery emits a pungent, unpleasant odor, it may be a chemical change inside the battery.
6. Performance decline: the battery‘s endurance is greatly reduced, and it can not return to normal level even after full charging.
7. Abnormal sound: The battery makes an abnormal sound when it is used, charged or standing, such as a crackling sound.
It should be noted that if the lithium battery is found to have any of the above abnormal conditions, it should immediately stop using, and seek the help of professionals for detection and treatment to avoid possible safety accidents.
