Lithium battery recycling equipment process
979 2021-11-11
Recycling process:
The recycling process of waste lithium ion batteries mainly includes pretreatment, secondary treatment and advanced treatment.
Since there is still some electricity remaining in the used batteries, the pretreatment process includes deep discharge process, crushing, and physical sorting;
The purpose of the secondary treatment is to achieve complete separation of the positive and negative active materials from the substrate. Heat treatment, organic solvent dissolution, lye dissolution, and electrolysis are commonly used to achieve complete separation of the two;
Advanced treatment mainly includes two processes of leaching and separation and purification to extract valuable metal materials; it is classified according to the extraction process.
Methods of battery recycling:
1. Dry recycling
The dry method is to reduce and roast the lithium-ion battery to separate cobalt and aluminum, and to separate the cobalt and acetylene black by leaching. The dry process is relatively simple, but the energy consumption is high, and the burning of the electrolyte solution and other components in the electrode can easily cause air pollution.
2. Wet recycling
The wet recycling process is to crush and dissolve the waste batteries, and then use suitable chemical reagents to selectively separate the metal elements in the leachate to produce high-grade cobalt metal or lithium carbonate, etc., which are directly recycled.
3. Biorecycling
Biological recovery technology mainly uses microbial leaching to convert useful components in the system into soluble compounds, and selectively dissolve them to obtain a solution containing effective metals to achieve the separation of target components and impurity components, and finally recover valuable lithium and Other valuable ingredients.
Take 18650 battery pack as an example:
  Existing pretreatment methods need to manually remove the plastic skin of the battery pack, and then manually remove the copper sheets connected to the battery pack electrodes, disassemble the battery pack to form a single 18650 battery cell, and then transport it into a crusher for crushing. select;
The volume of the battery pack in the existing technology is generally relatively large, and it is difficult to achieve fully automated feeding. The feeding is often performed manually. Not only the transportation speed and the transportation rhythm are unstable, it is easy to cause the machine to spin or overload, and at the same time, the efficiency is low. When touching a broken lithium battery, it is unavoidable to be injured by the chemical liquid in the battery, causing an accident; at the same time, the plastic skin of the battery pack is relatively strong, and it is inefficient to remove it by manpower.
Process steps of lithium battery recycling equipment:
a. First discharge the lithium battery; >>b. Disassemble the lithium battery after the discharge treatment in a; >>c. Discharge the internal electrolyte of the lithium battery after the disassembly in b; >>d. The lithium battery in c is sent to the sorting and recycling device for crushing and recycling.
The recovery device includes a main body, a motor, a rotating plate, a crushing device, a feed port, a sealing device, a sorting device, a U-shaped groove, a rack, a moving block, a gear, a rotating roller, a filter plate, a crushing knife, and a driving mechanism The discharge treatment of the present invention makes the waste lithium battery high in crushing efficiency and improves the safety of lithium battery recycling; the crushing device enables the battery to be sieved during crushing, separates the metal powder adhering to the metal, and improves battery recovery Efficiency: The sealing device can keep the battery in a vacuum state when crushing, improving the safety of crushing; further improving the effect of battery recycling.
