1. There are several types of lithium batteries for electric vehicles
    Electric vehicle lithium batteries are mainly divided into ternary lithium batteries, lithium manganate batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries. Different types of batteries use different cathode materials. The ternary lithium batteries use nickel-cobalt lithium manganate or nickel-cobalt aluminate. Lithium is used as a ternary positive electrode material, a lithium manganate battery is a battery whose positive electrode uses a lithium manganate material, and the positive electrode material of a lithium iron phosphate battery is iron phosphate. In terms of application scenarios, ternary lithium batteries and lithium manganate batteries are widely used in two-wheel (three-wheel) electric vehicles. Although lithium iron phosphate batteries are cheap, they take up a lot of space, so they are more widely used in electric buses. So which of these three batteries is better?
    First, acupuncture experiments were performed on the cells of three types of qualified lithium battery products on the market. Through this experiment, the situation when the lithium battery has an internal short circuit can be simulated. Through experiments, we can see that the ternary lithium battery burst into flames at the moment when the needle penetrated, and although the lithium manganate battery and the lithium iron phosphate battery had white smoke rising, there was no open flame burning.
    Next, we performed a squeeze test on the three types of batteries, and the result was still that the ternary lithium battery caught fire, while the lithium manganate battery and the lithium iron phosphate battery did not catch fire.
    Then, ternary lithium batteries must be inferior to lithium manganate batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries? Experts said that although lithium batteries have certain fire hazards, in terms of material wood, lithium manganate batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries The battery is more stable, and the probability of fire is much lower than that of the ternary lithium battery. Therefore, from a safety point of view, the lithium manganate battery and the lithium iron phosphate battery will be more stable.
2. How to choose lithium battery for electric bicycle
1. Select specifications
    First determine what specifications of lithium batteries for electric vehicles we need. Two-wheeled electric vehicles are generally 48V, and three-wheeled and four-wheeled are 60V or 72V.
2. Select the capacity
    The capacity of the battery is determined according to the cruising range and the size of the motor, which can be roughly calculated according to this formula: lithium battery voltage * lithium battery capacity / motor wattage * average speed of electric vehicle = cruising range
3. Choose a big brand
    With the popularity of the lithium battery industry, there are many small enterprises or workshop-style factories speculating in this industry, which also causes the products of lithium batteries to be mixed, and it is difficult to distinguish between true and false. The easiest way is to choose a big brand, which is more guaranteed in quality.
4, to see if it meets the national standard
    The national standard is the standard to ensure quality. It depends on whether it conforms to GB36972-2018 "National Standard for Lithium-ion Batteries for Electric Bicycles". If the product does not have this standard, it can basically be ignored.
5. Look at the manufacturer‘s qualifications
    Looking at the scale of capital, such as lithium battery production and research and development, it requires a lot of investment to complete. The registered capital is less than 100 million, which are basically workshop-style factories. Second, see whether there is an official website and WeChat public account. There is no official website or WeChat public account, so there is no need to consider it.
